The center of Old Pasadena is home to the historic Hotel Green. The hotel would come to accommodate not just throngs of wintering families from the East, but also the famous Valley Hunt Club. The Valley Hunt Club, or course, was the organization that initiated the now world famous Tournament of Roses Parade. Fitting that the Hotel Green would spawn the Rose Parade.

Barbados is a jewel in the Caribbean islands, and has much to offer to visitors. Barbados was named by the Portuguese and means \’bearded one\’; this could be because of the fig trees that have long hanging roots, or the foam created by waves breaking on the cliffs. The local fair and trade market can be a very exciting place for most kids (and kids at heart) to go around. Food stalls are everywhere, some cool stuff to buy and play with, a new thing to discover; it can be a whole new adventure when shuffling around the festival grounds.
